According to the Discovery Channel, the name of Rome's first Emperor, Julius Caesar added up to the number 666 using the numbering system of the day and that is probably correct. Caesar of course re-manifests as "Ronald Wilson Regan" and other world leaders until the end when love and truth will over-come. Today our civilization is based upon the Roman Empire's structure and teachings. 

The Jehovah Witnesses teach that the Beast is the United Nations, the New World Order under one Government. Caesar by any other name, a rose!

The number 6 is also considered to be the number of woman. When combined with the number 9 we have the number 69, the Yin and Yang or meeting of the Male and Female, the symbol of the union of the Rivers and Waters of Life. Life everlasting! Revelation 22 - Bible Browser

The Numbers 6 or 9 and or a combination thereof, just like with food, are not evil in themselves. "It is not what goes into am man's mouth that makes him unholy but rather what comes out. No food is to be rejected as long as grace is said for it." 1 Timothy 4
